The paper firstly summarizes and makes contrastive analysis on two means to achieve emphasis in both English and Chinese languages—Displacement and Conversion, then probes into the underlying mechanism of the two means. At last, the paper provides practical suggestion from the preceding analysis on translation between English and Chinese.
